Austin Butler and Zoe Kravitz share passionate KISS while shooting crime thriller Caught Stealing in New York
Zoe Kravitz and Austin Butler were caught sharing a steamy kiss on the New York City set of Darren Aronofsky’s new film Caught Stealing on Wednesday.
Both wearing bulky jackets, the actors had their arms wrapped around one another as they locked lips for the cameras.
Butler, 33 — who plays a former baseball player who finds himself mixed up with criminals — towered over Kravitz, 35, during the night shoot.
They were surrounded by lighting equipment as two cameramen worked to get the perfect shot.
Butler and Kravitz’ kiss was strictly a work obligation as they’re both in serious, real-life relationships.
Butler has been dating super model Kaia Gerber, 23, since late 2021 after her split from Euphoria star Jacob Elordi, 27.
Kravitz is engaged to Magic Mike hunk Channing Tatum, 41. Channing popped the question last October after two years of dating.
Earlier in the day, Austin looked battered and bruised as he and Zoe filmed scenes outside an NYC building.
Sporting a fake black eye and bruised left cheek, the Oscar nominee hobbled out of a nearby building with one arm wrapped around Kravitz’s shoulders.
Butler was wearing a white hospital gown, a blue robe and sneakers.
The duo were filmed standing of the sidewalk as Kravitz waved down a taxi with a large plastic bag in one hand.
Butler kept a baseball cap low over his eyes as he slowly crawled into the backseat of the cab.
As he reached for the door, Butler exposed the white hospital band on his right wrist.
Meanwhile, Kravitz went braless in a low-cut gray tank top and baggy blue jeans for the day’s shoot.
The star — who is engaged to Magic Mike hunk Channing Tatum, 44 — also had on an unbuttoned black patterned blouse, a black leather belt and chunky black sneakers.
The Blink Twice auteur wore sunglasses and her short raven hair looked wet.
Filming for Caught Stealing kicked off in late September — six months after Butler’s casting was confirmed.
Kravitz stepped on set for the first time on September 21 while Butler began shooting scenes in NYC on September 25.
Caught Stealing is a film adaptation of the 2004 book of the same name by author Charlie Huston, who also penned the screenplay.
As per Deadline, the film ‘follows Hank Thompson (Butler), a burned-out former baseball player, as he’s unwittingly plunged into a wild fight for survival in the downtown criminal underworld of ’90s New York City.’
The star-studded crime thriller also features performances by Regina King, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio, Matt Smith and Bad Bunny.
Smith looked nearly unrecognizable at Wednesday’s shoot as he rocked a large multi-colored mohawk, a studded leather jacket and skinny plaid pants.
The Doctor Who alum, 41, did not film any scenes with Butler or Kravitz.
Caught Stealing marks Butler’s latest high-profile role after starring in Dune: Part Two, which remains the highest grossing film of 2024 thus far.
The Dune sequel — which also starred Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh — has raked in $700million at the worldwide since it premiered in theaters in March.
Butler earned his first-ever Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination for Best Actor last year for his portrayal of the late music icon Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s acclaimed 2022 musical biopic.
Elvis catapulted Butler to A-list stardom — over two decades after he found fame in the early 2000s as a child star on Nickelodeon.
Butler’s latest film The Bikeriders starring Tom Hardy and Jodie Comer hits theaters in June and has an 80 percent ‘fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
As for Kravitz, the daughter of Lenny Kravitz released her directorial debut film Blink Twice in late August after years of working in front of the camera.
Her acting credits include starring in HBO’s mini-series Big Little Lies, Hulu’s now-canceled show High Fidelity and The Batman (2022) with Robert Pattinson and Colin Farrell.
Blink Twice is about tech billionaire Slater King (played by Zoe’s fiance Channing Tatum) who invites cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) on a vacation on his private island. However, she begins questioning her reality following a series of strange events.
While promoting the film, Channing dished that Zoe worked on the film’s script for seven years before taking it to the big screen.
Blink Twice reportedly made $68million at the worldwide box office on a $20million budget.

Prince Harry cementing his separation from Meghan Markle even further
Experts believe Prince Harry’s recent actions in Hollywood prove that he’s decided to cement his separation from Meghan Markle.
Royal author, Ingrid Seward made these comments during her most recent interview with The Sun.
During that chat the expert touched on the newfound strategy the Sussexes are starting to employ, as well as its potential to take them into “slightly different ways” as a couple.
According to Ms Seward, “I feel that they’re both going slightly different ways to see if it works. They’ve tried it together, and it didn’t work so well. So, they’re doing it separately to see how well it works.”
She even referenced the prince’s surprise appearance on Jimmy Fallon, for their Halloween skit and called the entire thing pure “tomfoolery” before adding how “It’s really good to see a glimpse of the old Harry… and, hopefully, it will resonate with him too.”
Before signing off she also pointed out how, “It just means that they’re doing things in different ways on their own, which is eventually what all members of the Royal Family or members of any family do.”
For those unversed, the Duke and Duchess have been taking on a number of engagements solo in recent weeks, from a charity event in NYC, to South Africa and even the LA charity Meghan visited.

David Walliams delivers savage dig at Simon Cowell after Britain’s Got Talent axe
David Walliams has taken aim at Simon Cowell a year after he was axed from Britain’s Got Talent.
After a decade as one of the judges on the ITV reality talent show, David was fired and replaced by Bruno Tonioli when leaked recordings revealed he’d made scathing remarks about contestants.
The comedian, 53, apologised for his offensive comments but then took production company FremantleMedia to court, suing them for ‘significant damages’.
He eventually reached a settlement, reported to be around £5 million, but has remained tight-lipped about the fallout since then.
In a Q&A segment with young fans, David was asked by a boy called Jasper if ‘any of the characters in your books based on real people?’
‘That is a good question. Whenever I’m trying to think of an evil villain I always think “what would Simon Cowell do?”’ he quipped, leaving hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley bursting out in laughter.
David then went on to explain how a Britain’s Got Talent contestant called Cockroach Ken also inspired a character in a previous book.
He then told kids to ‘keep their eyes and ears open as you never know when you might have a good idea for a story’.
Earlier this year David was questioned about his controversial exit from BGT.
During an appearance on Lorraine, he was asked by host Lorraine Kelly if he’d been watching the latest season of BGT and whether he was ‘sorry’ about how he left.
After looking briefly surprised by the question he responded: ‘I’ve been travelling a lot, so I haven’t had a chance to see it.’
He then went on to say he’s been enjoying all the extra time he’d had to be creative and continued to talk about his writing pursuits and other upcoming projects.’
Although his response made it clear he wasn’t ready to discuss the matter, some fans said his response was ‘diplomatic’ while others labelled him ‘bitter’.
After the case was settled late last year, Fremantle said it was ‘sincerely sorry’ that his ‘private conversations’ were published.
