Britain’s Got Talent has confirmed when it will be back for 2025.
The 18th season of the ITV juggernaut will kick off on Saturday, February 22 at 7pm. It’s actually the earliest in the year that it has ever started airing, with the previous record being the 2012 season starting in March.
Ant & Dec are once again hosting, while Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli are back as judges. Although social media star turned boxer KSI will feature as a guest judge for some of the auditions as Bruno wasn’t able to film.
In a new trailer, which will premiere tonight, we get a glimpse at some of our new hopefuls. Among them, we’ve got: a naked man wearing a bow tie, a drummer seemingly covered in oil playing flaming cymbals, a pole dancer with a seagull mask, and a man with some very bulging eyes.
There’s also the typical magicians, acrobats and singers for good measure.
Last month, Amanda Holden teased that there’s going to be a particular dangerous act that she found difficult to watch.
“[It was] so dangerous that I looked at the producers and thought I didn’t know how sensible it was for [Simon] to be part of it,” she said.
“The only note Simon was given was ‘don’t move.’ Of course he moved because he said he could feel the wind of this – I’m going to say weapon – right by his head.
“It was horrible to watch because the act involved a lot of food and a lot of crushing, so the stage was very slippery. So, with any safety measures that may have been put in place, there was risk there because of the sliding floor.”
She also revealed that three Golden Buzzers went off in one day, so keep an eye out to see how that pans out in the edit.
