On Tuesday, Alcaraz breezed past Germany’s Dominik Koepfer in a walkover on the Arthur Ashe Stadium. It means the World No. 1 will face Lloyd Harris of South Africa in the second round on Thursday.

During victory over Koepfer – which ended midway through the second set with the score 6-2 3-2 – Alcaraz wowed fans as he wore a white sleeveless top with a dazzling colorful design. According to Marca, the ‘elastic sleeveless white shirt’ was designed to showcase the ‘spectacular’ design as well as showcase Alcaraz’s physical gifts.

By going sleeveless, Alcaraz has naturally drawn further comparisons to Nadal. The 22-time Grand Slam champion has always been fond of the sleeveless shirts, and donned a purple version of the attire during his last US Open title run in 2019.
