Novak Djokovic humiliates Rafael Nadal in possibly the last singles match of his career at the Olympics

Novak Djokovic stamped his name all over the second-round match against Rafael Nadal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Court Philippe-Chatrier was filled to the brim as a capacity crowd came to witness the blockbuster clash between two long-time rivals.

Ever since the Olympics draw was released, this matchup was the one everyone had their eyes on. Djokovic made it to the second round with an easy 6-0, 6-1 win against Mathew Ebden. Nadal, who earlier was unsure about his participation in singles, managed to beat Marton Fucsovics to also reach the second round.

Djokovic clash with Nadal seemed like a stroll in the park for the Serbian for the most part. He was leading 6-1, 4-0 when the Spaniard fought back with everything he had. Nadal won four successive games to level the score in the second set and make Djokovic fight for the win.

In the end, Djokovic won 6-1, 6-4 to move on to the third round at the Olympics. He showed full emotions in his celebration after the two players shared a warm hug at the net.
