Not Good: Simon Cowell express felling over four stone lost.

Simon Cowell has revealed his weight loss secret after cutting four foods out of his diet

Simon Cowell, the famously critical X-Factor judge, has made headlines with his significantly slimmer frame after adopting a healthier lifestyle over the long term. Fans were recently taken aback by how “slimmer than ever” Simon appeared in a family vacation photo.

Two years ago, Simon shared some photos of himself in a cosy countryside setting with fiancee Lauren Silverman, and their son Eric. The family of three was joined by Simon’s ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour, her daughter Coco and her mother, Margaret.

After the photos were shared on Instagram, comments flooded in about the notable change in the music mogul’s physique as he sported a trim look in a plain black T-shirt paired with white shorts.

However, it’s worth noting that Simon’s shrinkage wasn’t a sudden transformation.

Committed to his health, the Britain’s Got Talent panellist first embarked on a transformative journey about six years ago which has seen him shedding inches from his waistline.

In reference to his weight loss, Simon impressively dropped four stone through careful diet management and a new exercise routine. In conversation with the Sun, he revealed that although he once savoured opulent meals prepared by personal chefs, his current regimen greatly differs.

Reflecting on his weight loss journey, he shared: “The most dramatic period was the first month where most of the weight comes off and you look at yourself and think ‘wow’.”

Following his choice to eliminate junk food from his diet, the results include slipping down four trousers sizes.

So, what did Simon Cowell do to lose weight?

In 2019, the Mirror reported that Simon Cowell had shed his first 20 pounds by adopting a nearly vegan diet. This significant lifestyle shift came after a fall down the stairs in 2017 due to low blood pressure landed him in hospital.

As the mastermind behind the X-Factor and Got Talent series, Simon’s life is frenetic, filled with work commitments that often lead to late nights and meals on the run, not to mention considerable stress.

The scare prompted the music mogul to eliminate four main foods from his diet, dairy, sugar, bread, gluten, and red meat, after seeking medical advice. He remarked: “Cutting all that out is what has made a difference, genuinely.”

Although cutting out certain foods wasn’t too challenging for him, the thought of reducing his alcohol intake was more concerning. In a conversation with Extra TV, Simon disclosed: “My first thought was ‘what about the alcohol’? The doctor said, ‘maybe not quite as much as you had before’ and I’ve stuck to it and it’s easy.”

While he still drinks and smokes, he has cut down massively and swears he has a better-balanced routine. And the good news is, Simon’s diet is easy to follow.

As reported in the Express, he revealed that he was now eating white meat, like chicken and turkey, as well as plenty of salads and vegetables. He also avoids red meats like beef, lamb and pork, which are known to be higher in saturated fats.
